Wooo!!!. It's interesting because i know it's something I want to do. You/re in the 10th grade...if being an attorney is what you want to do...go for it!! And your reasons are good ones. Here's what you should do: 1.) Go to a college/university that is Accredited in a major you want as another career, maybe. It doesn't have to be pre-law, just make sure it is ACCREDITED and your GPA is decent (3.2 - 4.0) that you enjoy your college experience (join organizations). 2.)VOLUNTEER!!...You say you want to help people, see how it feels before you become a lawyer; it'll look good on your resume and it'll feel good when you do it. 3.) By your junior year in college, try looking for summer jobs or jobs during the semester related to the legal field. (if you don't find them, it's okay.....volunteer) 4.) Your senior year in college, if you want to go immediately after college, start preparing for the LSAT ( thats the test you take before you can apply anywhere.) .....and more, but that's for later.... ....you have a while to get it together.....just know it's a lot of studying and a lot of reading, but nothing you can't do. Also it depends on what or who you want to prosecute. For intence if you want to prosecute criminals then you should check out Criminal Law. I hope that answered your question.
