After wards in year 1974 World Intellectual Property Organization became the main unit of the United Nations.
Also an accord between the United Nations and the World Intellectual Property Organization was reached and it stated that the World Intellectual Property Organization was responsible for the promotion of creative intellectual activities and for facilitating the transfer of technology that was related to the industrial property to the developing nations in order to speed up the economic, social and cultural development, subject to the competence and duties of the United Nations and its subsidiaries , particularly the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, the United Nations Development Programme and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, as well as of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization and some other units working under the auspices and the strict surveillance of the United Nations.
